The Death card is one of the most feared and misunderstood cards in the Rider-Waite Tarot deck. It is often associated with the idea of physical death, but it actually represents a much broader concept. The Death card is one of the 22 Major Arcana cards, and it is associated with the number 13. The image on the Death card shows a skeleton, usually on horseback, holding a black flag or banner. The horse's eyes are often red, and there are usually people or animals lying dead or dying on the ground. The image is certainly ominous, but it is also rich in symbolism. At its core, the Death card represents the idea of transformation and change. Just as the seasons change and the leaves fall from the trees, we all go through periods of transformation and change in our lives. The Death card suggests that something is coming to an end, but it also suggests that something new is beginning.
